Herbal decongestant steam and bath

Amplify’d from www.anniesremedy.com

Herbal decongestant steam and bath
Steam is an old-fashioned remedy for colds, coughs, and congestion. When herbal steams are inhaled, antiseptic, decongestant, airway-relaxing herbal ingredients get right where they are needed.

  • 3 tablespoons eucaluptus leaves
  • 2 tablespoons thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary leaves
  • 1 tablespoon peppermint leaves.

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Remove from heat and add the herbs. Carefully pour the water into a heat resistant bowl, place a towel over your head, and inhale steam. After you are finished, strain the herbs and place the solution in into the bath to get all the remaining essence. Add a few drops of essential oils to enhance the effect.

Harvest Moon Celebration Farmington Mi

Sounds like fun to me.

Harvest Moon Celebration

 Longfellow's
The Harvest Moon

"It is the Harvest Moon!
On gilded vanes
And roofs of villages, on woodland crests
And their aerial neighborhoods of nests
Deserted, on the curtained window-panes
Of rooms where children sleep, on country lanes
And harvest-fields, its mystic splendor rests!
Gone are the birds that were our summer guests,
With the last sheaves return the laboring wains!
All things are symbols: the external shows
Of Nature have their image in the mind,
As flowers and fruits and falling of the leaves;
The song-birds leave us at the summer's close,
Only the empty nests are left behind,
And pipings of the quail among the sheave."

I am my own belief.

Share but do not steal for this comes from the heart of a friend.

Amplify’d from www.facebook.com

I am my own belief.

My own calling to this Earth.

Shall I be called Evil by man?

Shall I be given a name that is not my own?

The search has been a long hard road that has yet to end and one that will be forever walked.

I look around and see a person who is no more Evil than the next.

I celebrate all Life, its undoing is not by my hand for I can hold no other but my own.

I am my own healer no one else, self-empowered from the Earth itself.

I fear nature not but find comfort from it in every way.

Respect for the spirits that ever flow from nature for it never dies, it is always reborn.

Call me Evil if you shall find it lying in my intent for that is the only Evil my heart knows.

Honest with yourself is to know thyself.

Labels man gives : call me Green Witch, call me Pagan, call me Wicca, call me One with Earth, even call me a Fallen Child yet you shall not find intent to call me Evil.

I follow my heart by feeling with it and knowing in my own mind that no harm intent is given freely by my hand.

I look at all Books as a story to be told and pull a belief from all for my belief is my own.

I teach, share, and learn from that I know.

No one story fills my soul for it is the vast knowledge of those stories I walk my path.

I belief that we are given into this Life from the Earth to Live , Love and Share till we are called to Return to the Earth to give Life to another waiting to be Born, To later be Reborn , Renew to Guild those that need us.

A Higher Being, no matter the name is my own belief the same.

I may call to a Goddess , to a God under many names.

For it is only the Face shown to me that change.

The love , the power, the spirit is forever the same.

It matters not the place I call from.

It matters not the voice I use to make the call .

By song, by prayer, by calling of spell each is heard and each shall be answered in time by a messenger known only to me.

By a voice of a friend, by the warms of an animal, by the gentle flow of the wind.

Inner peace for each person is a different tune played only to that person. Reach for that inner peace and find no fault of other for it is not your place to label another just yourself.

For your belief is your own.

Pisces Full Moon

Amplify’d from astrology.about.com

This year's Pisces Full Moon is on August 24th. For West Coast US, time is 10:04 am, for East coast, 1:04 pm. Universal Time is 5:04 pm.

Other names for the August Full Moon: The Great Lakes tribes called it Sturgeon Moon, for the fish they knew were plentiful in August. Other tribes called it the Full Red Moon, for its reddish hue upon rising, Green Corn Moon or Grain Moon.

When the Moon is full in Pisces, the Sun is in the opposite sign of Virgo.

Pisces is a mutable sign, making it about dissolving, shuffling pieces, new combinations. Pisces is a water sign, with an emphasis on the imagination, unity through the heart, spiritual longing, transcendence, mystical visions.

Full Moon in Pisces: sharing intimacy with all of humanity, seeing beyond the surface of things, symbolic language and imagery, fantasy and escape, addiction, lost souls, the vast unknown, loss of Self, sacrifice or devotion, unconditional love.

This Full Moon illuminates: the depth of meaning in relationships and events; the wider mystery of why we're here; how we're merged as humans; the power of the collective heart impulse; divinely inspired creative ideas, chances to be a comfort in a dark time; vivid dreams of other realms and lives.

It's a Good Time to: make dinner for a friend with the blues; start volunteering with children, animals, the elderly and vulnerable; get lost in your own imagination!; keep the schedule clear for daydreaming; take a long healing soak, or swim in the ocean; spend time past the monkey mind (in meditation or a walk in nature); go to the theatre or the cinema; see yourself as an infinite being; speak from the heart; let yourself feel deeply; be with those you love.

Solitary Moon Ritual

"My Lady of the Moon, who is called Diana,
Artemis, Levanah, Isis and by many other names,
I come to you to bringing my love and my devotion.
May you grant me the joy of your presence."

"Sweet Goddess, the gentle breeze is the touch of your loving hand,
the wind of storm a reminder of your strength.
The sound of the trees in the wind is your voice,
and the fragrance of flowers borne on the wind is your gift of beauty."

"Most loved Lady, the light of the candle is a guide along our path leading to you;
its warmth the reassurance of your presence and your love.
The light of the Sun is the knowledge you impart to us,
driving out ignorance and those things which can survive only in darkness."

"Lovely One,the quiet pool is the serenity of your being.
The vast sea where life began on this planet
is the vast sea of your being whence all life came;
its waves are the ebb and flow of the universe you rule."

"Goddess of all, the fertility of the earth is a sign of your fertility, whence all life rose. The solidity and permanence are still of it are still less than yours.
The Earth's fertility feeds our bodies, and your fertility feeds our souls."

"My Lady, guide my thoughts.
Let them lead always closer to you."

"Gracious Goddess, guide my actions.
Let them always help and never harm others or myself."

"Lovely One, guide my emotions:
Let them be healing and touched by you always."

"Sweet Goddess, let my mind always be fertile and strong,
that I may grow always toward you."

"Queen of Heaven, I thank you for your presence,
both now and always.
My love and devotion are yours.
Blessed be!
All spirits who have joined me tonight may depart,
with my love.
Return to your proper places."

"So mote it be!"
